Fisherville Brook Wildlife Refuge's New Pollinator Garden

As they travel around the state in search of bird-watching opportunities, Audubon's Wednesday Morning Bird Walk participants have been focusing their conversations on climate change. In an effort to give back to nature and the community, Wednesday's eager group gathered at Audubon's Fisherville Brook Wildlife Refuge to update the refuge's garden areas after their walk.

Laura Carberry, Audubon's naturalist and leader of the Wednesday Morning Bird Walks, organized the event and participants donated native, non-invasive plants. The gardens now provide habitat and food for our pollinator friends.

Wednesday Morning Bird Walk locations vary from week to week- check our Facebook and/or website on Monday afternoons for weekly locations.

Volunteer Opportunity! The gardens at our Powder Mill Ledges Wildlife Refuge and Headquarters in Smithfield are in need of tending. Contact Jon Scoones at jscoones@asri.org if you are interested in this seasonal position.
