Birds Across New England: The Audubon Regional Conservation Symposium
Stay tuned for information about the 2025 Symposium!
The premise of this symposium is simple: the more you know, the more you can do to help our birds. It provids attendees with information on what is being done to save our birds and what obstacles stand in the way of conservation success in New England. Topics covered concern saltmarsh and coastal bird species, eastern forest health, climate change and renewable energy, bird tracking technologies, and large-scale demographic projects aimed at determining the size and health of bird populations throughout New England.
At the first Symposium in 2023, the Audubon Society of Rhode Island also unveiled its first comprehensive State of Our Birds report. Derived from a year of data collection, the report offers a full accounting of species across our wildlife refuges and provides conservation recommendations for specific bird populations and habitats.
