Providence Birding Adventure

Providence Birding Adventure

Providence Birding Adventure #9
Saturday, September 22 at 9 AM – 11 PM

Join Audubon’s Urban Education Coordinator Lisa Maloney for a FREE guided bird walk and a bird banding demonstration in Roger Williams Park. The group will gather at the parking lot of the Botanical Center on Cladrastis Avenue and learn about how bird banding helps with research on the life histories and migration patterns of birds. Binoculars and field guides will be available. Dress for the weather and wear sturdy walking shoes.

Thanks to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife’s Urban Bird Treaty Program, and a partnership between the Providence Parks Urban Wildlife Refuge Partnership and the Audubon Society of Rhode Island, these free, monthly bird walks will be held at various locations around Providence for the next two years.
